About LAIFF
The story behind the festival that brought Indonesian cinema to Los Angeles.
A Festival Born from Passion
The Los Angeles Indonesian Film Festival (LAIFF) was established in 2014 with a singular purpose: to create a dedicated space where Indonesian cinema could be seen, celebrated, and connected to the global film industry.
Founded and presented by Dapoer Kita Production, LAIFF is the first Indonesian film festival in the United States and remains the only Indonesian film festival in Los Angeles. Over the years, LAIFF has grown from a grassroots effort into a recognized annual platform held in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world.
For more than a decade, the festival has championed Indonesian storytellers, introduced Hollywood to Indonesia's diverse cultural heritage, and helped forge international collaborations that continue to grow.
